Patricia Price, PsyD, LPDr. Price is a clinical psychologist, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. She is dedicated to using scientifically-supported treatment methods, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental style. Dr. Price's emphasis is in working with teens, adults, and families. She has experience working in inpatient, outpatient, and partial-hospitalization settings. Dr. Price completed her pre-doctoral internship with the Minnesota Department of Corrections, working with female inmates from all walks of life. She completed the final stages of her training in an outpatient group practice in Rochester.
As a doctoral-level psychologist, Dr. Price believes strongly in the biopsychosocial model of illness. This model systematically considers biological, psychological, and social factors and their complex interactions in understanding illness. When assessing an individual or family, Dr. Price considers all of these factors, before making a diagnosis. Dr. Price has a great deal of training in family-based therapy (the Maudsley Model), as well as in cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices. Her office is conveniently located in downtown Rochester, just 4 blocks from the Mayo Clinic complex. Free parking is provided. |
